When Bridget left Ireland and came to Australia in 2005 she was amazed at the vast array of birdlife she was met with. She soon began, with bird book in hand, learning about these new feathered friends. As her knowledge slowly grew so did her desire to share her passion with fellow birders and the next generation in the form of her children's books and games.
All her products reflect her love of Australia's birdlife and is much enjoyed by fellow bird nerds all over Australia.
Brooke Davis is the owner, author and chief Nature Warrior at Your Wild Books. We’re based in beautiful South Australia and we are a profit for purpose company established to improve the lives of young humans around the world by encouraging nature connection through play. Searching for sticks to make Nature Wands, learning about animals in our Quiz Game, creating craft that uses what nature provides; that’s what we care about. Plastic-free play, green time not screen time, compostable creations; our hope is that our books and games encourage kids to be kids. Nature-loving, nature-protecting, free, happy, muddy kids.
What started as a creative outlet soon gathered momentum, and before I knew it my hobby of pouring candles and sharing crafty ideas on social media became something more. I wanted to create beautiful things in our home for other people to enjoy in theirs. I wanted to offer people a unique and personalised gifting experience with a distinctly human touch. Everything in our product range, from the soy candles through to essential oil rollers and mists, is lovingly handmade in our very own studio. I’m passionate about celebrating and supporting other entrepreneurial Australian small businesses — that’s why you’ll find creations from other wonderful companies here amongst our own.
"It’s important to do things that recharge your soul."
‘Sensilla’ comes from the scientific term to describe sensory organs in Arthropods. This name perfectly combines my geeky scientific background and the sense of smells that is not only essential in everyday life but also triggers strong memories and emotions.
Scented candles are not only adding ambiance to your home but also represent a calming sanctuary for your body and soul.
Sensilla candles are made from natural soy wax so our candles are eco-friendly and carbon neutral. There are many benefits of using soy candles over petroleum-based paraffin candles and soy candles should be the first choice for everyone lighting candles at home. Each individual candle is hand poured and made locally in Melbourne, Australia.
I have personally handmade and carefully designed each product. I thrive to deliver high quality and luxurious products to suit any loving home. For those who prefer not to light candles, room diffusers are the perfect alternative.
Sensilla uses only premium diffuser oils and high quality fragrances to ensure long-lasting scent in any room at your home.
My journey into natural skincare began ten years ago when I was struggling with the demands of life and facing health challenges that led me to seek the help of a naturopath.
This experience not only opened my eyes to the incredible benefits of natural products but also made me realise the importance of taking time out for myself, practicing self-care, and focusing on mental well-being. It was during this time that I began experimenting with making my own skincare, discovering how transformative these natural ingredients could be.
What started as a personal exploration quickly turned into a passion. I discovered how transformative all-natural ingredients could be for my skin, and I wanted to share this with others. I began crafting skincare products by hand, using only the finest plant-based ingredients. When I saw the positive impact, these products had on my family and friends, and with their encouragement, I decided to take a leap and start selling my creations at local markets and online.
It all began following a visit to the bathroom at our parents’ home in early 2019. I noticed that they used toilet wipes and when asked why, the answer was: "I feel so much cleaner" "Doesn't everyone use toilet wipes?".
Obviously, not everyone in the family was being as environmentally conscious as we thought.
It was great that our parents and many others were focused on ensuring that they are REALLY clean (you know…down there) but throwing wipes down the loo… Big No No!
So… we jumped on the Internet looking for an alternative but couldn’t find exactly what we sought!
After a lot of thought and research, we created a product – a gel that could be squirted onto toilet paper and convert the paper into a toilet wipe. It was a hit with our parents AND we ended up using it too!
As many of our friends can attest, our family likes a chat! So of course, it wasn’t long before dad had told a few (A LOT!) of people, what we had created. A name was born… Cheeky Squirt gel! A quick squirt from the pump and you had clean cheeks. Dad had a little giggle every time the name was mentioned.
We started a few Cheeky conversations with friends and everyone around us. We discovered there are generally three types of people:
We found a local Australian manufacturer, (Support Local Bums!), who created gels samples and tested on bottoms across the country, with great feedback! Excitement was building!
Then something we could have never predicted happened: dad passed away suddenly. This devastating event affected us all and now we didn’t feel much like doing anything, so Cheeky Squirt gel ended up on the bathroom shelf and sat there…
Until one day, whilst in COVID, we decided that if dad knew we had given up, he would have given us a right talking too! So, with the extra time we had, now that we were working from home and not having to travel in and out of the city, we took our Cheeky product off the bathroom shelf and got it off the ground!

I've always been a creative. I studied art at school, photography at uni and have sewed all my life.
Making things is a key part of who I am.
When I was a child I remember watching my grandfather at the lathe, making amazing things out of wood.
I was fascinated by the process, but too young and a girl!!
here was no chance to learn. When the opportunity arose to learn a few years ago, I jumped at it.
While I continue with some of my other creative projects, I still sew and make other things, wood turning has become my passion. It brings me so much joy and happiness.
I love the warm tactile nature of wood. I hope you do too
Born in Ferntree Gully, Australia, identical twins Dallas and John Heaton are travel photography veterans.
Their passion for photography was nurtured and developed by their Art Teacher at Melbourne High School in the late 60’s.
An early assignment was photographing China for Thai International Airlines in 1982. China was starting its “open door policy” and they were amongst the first independent foreign photographers.
Over 35 years Dallas and John have created beautiful travel themed images – their work appearing in many diverse formats such as National Geographic publications, postage stamps in France and exteriors of Hong Kong trams.
Being identical twins, they have innately attracted curiosity and interest which often dissolved barriers and led to unique photo opportunities.

Little Bead of Sunshine began during Covid whilst I was looking for things to entertain my children. After pulling out my old beading case, I began to make bracelets to post to friends during isolation, in the hope that the small gift might brighten their day. And as a result, Little Bead of Sunshine was born.
My aim is to create affordable, beautiful and unique pieces that can be loved and worn time and time again.
